Ftm Support Groups
Below is a list of Facebook groups, support groups and forums all across the country, that might be of some help. As I find more I will add them to the list.
Each group will have a different privacy setting either Public which everyone can see the group, members and posts, Closed where everyone can see the group, members but not the posts or Secret where only members can see posts.
TMSA-UK – They are a UK based support group for all those who identify as Trans Masculine, Non Binary and Gender Variant AFAB people. To join them send a friend request to their Facebook profile.(Secret Group)
LGBTQ Addition Support – Sharing ideas to create a recovery community. Running alongside this page is a secret peer to peer support group, for people who have issues with addiction of any form and who identify as LGBT+. If you would like to be added to the group use the contact button on the page to send them a message asking to join. (Secret Group)
FTM Wales – A place for trans men who are transitioning in Wales.(Closed Group)
Transgender Awareness Wales – Raising awareness of transgender issues in Wales.
FTM Transgender UK ONLY – It is geared at those looking to exchange information on transition-related resources as well as for those seeking transition-related peer support.(Closed Group)
FTM Photo – A place to share your transition photo’s.(Secret Group)
FTM Youtube – A place to For FTM-spectrum folks to share their YouTube channel with others who are interested in FTM transition vlogs and making connections.(Closed Group)
Parents of Transgender Children – Our group supports parents of transgender children of any age, including gender-variant children and any child about whom a parent is “gender” concerned. We help, advise, encourage and support each other. We are also host an additional group, Allies of Transgender Children, for supportive family members and friends.
Western Boys – We are a small group based in the south west who provide support and a safe meeting place for FTM and trans-masculine identified people. We meet once a month to chat in a safe, no pressure environment. We also run a summer camp for anyone who wants to join us.
MORF – We are Manchester’s social and support group for trans guys who want to discuss relevant issues in a friendly and supportive environment.
Beaumont Trust – Assists those troubled by gender dysphoria, and those involved in their care.
Depend – Free, confidential, non-judgemental advice, information and support for family members, partners, spouses and friends of transsexual people.
Unique Transgender Network – is a voluntary group supporting Trans* (transgender) people in North Wales & West Cheshire.
Just Be Yourself – Our aim is to provide help & support for LGBT people of all ages from family issues to school / Education, Housing, healthcare & employment etc.
Scottish Trans – The Scottish Transgender Alliance works to improve gender identity and gender reassignment equality, rights and inclusion in Scotland.
Trans Men Scotland – is a support group run by and for trans men and female to male transgender people living in Scotland.
TransgenderNI – Help and support for the transgender community in Northern Ireland
Trans* Jersey – Providing help and support for transgender, transsexual, androgynous, genderqueer, bigender and intersex Jersey residents.
Transcend Ireland – Ireland’s Transsexual information and support forum. An inclusive Irish Transsexual forum dedicated to supplying information and support and the odd bit of devilment.
The Angels – Proudly supporting the UK transgendered community and its friends since 2000.
Susan’s Place Transgender Resources – is a support resource for the transgender community which provides information of use to transsexuals, crossdressers, and their families.
Laura’s Playground – is a free support site for MTF, FTM Transsexual, Transgendered, Crossdressers, Intersex, Androgynous and their significant others and friends.
FTM UK Forum – Support and advice, about trans-related topics.
FTM Mentors – FtM Mentors was created with this purpose in mind. Nothing else – just a place to find a local FtM friend to either mentor (be a big brother to) or to find an FtM turn to for support.
Family Support Groups
Mermaids – Family and individual support for teenagers and children with gender identity issues.
Gendered Intelligence – is committed to identifying the issues and meeting the needs of parents and family members of young trans people from across the UK.
